English Language Learner Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs for students needing support in the English language in a virtual setting.

• Work collaboratively with students, learning coaches, and general education teachers to foster academic success.

• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods.

• Ensure compliance with the Nevada State Performance Framework and Title III regulations.

• Utilize data to track student progress and modify instruction based on assessments and individual requirements.

• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and hold learning coach conferences promptly.

• Evaluate curriculum and develop alternative strategies for lesson delivery to enhance student comprehension.

• Maintain regular communication with learning coaches, students, and fellow educators to create and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach English Language Acquisition and Development in Nevada.

• Must possess or be eligible for Nevada teaching certification.

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to EL instruction is essential.

• Must be available to work full-time from 8am to 4pm PST, Monday through Friday.

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in technology are required.

• Familiarity with the Nevada State Performance Framework is necessary.

• Experience with EL students is preferred.

• Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in virtual teaching is preferred.

• Proven ability to cultivate a positive, student-centered learning environment.

• Dedication to advancing principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the school community.

• A customer-focused approach is essential.

• High level of adaptability is required.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability to work occasional evening hours, as necessary to assist some families.

• Willingness to travel for school meetings, training sessions, and state testing events is required.
