English Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Instruct small groups of students on their core English skills to enhance long-term comprehension of subjects and achieve top scores on college readiness tests (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your student’s progress as they navigate through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing individualized growth and improvement opportunities throughout the process.

• Demonstrate professionalism and strong organizational abilities by responding to students promptly, maintaining and updating student lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring students are accountable for their assignments.

• Led the creation and innovative implementation of dynamic lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students with empathy and a deep understanding of the increasingly competitive and stressful nature of the college application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities-related field (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.) (Master’s degree or higher preferred).

• A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace free from excessive noise or distractions.
