This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Instruct 11-week live, online courses utilizing engaging, student-focused teaching methods.
• Create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages active learning and student involvement.
• Provide prompt, constructive feedback and address student questions within 24 hours.
• Conduct weekly office hours to enhance student comprehension and foster community.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and strategies for student engagement.
• Assess student progress, maintain grade records, and submit evaluations at mid-quarter and the end of the quarter.
• Work with colleagues and Campus staff to exchange best practices and enhance instructional quality.
• Participate in co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience.
• Remain updated on industry and pedagogical trends pertinent to your subject area and online education, including the effective integration of AI tools in our curriculum.
• Master’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.
• Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and video conferencing software.
• Digital fluency and the capability to effectively integrate AI-driven educational tools into teaching.
• Proactive, dependable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality online education.
• Commitment to equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
• Availability to dedicate 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.
