Engineering Team Leader, Elements Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of 3-5 Fullstack developers.

• Engage in code writing and reviewing, balancing approximately 70% management and 30% technical tasks.

• Ensure adherence to company processes and engineering standards by the team.

• Take ownership of feature delivery and ensure compliance with deadlines.

• Make informed technical decisions, create technical designs for new features, and coordinate with adjacent teams and your manager.

• Manage technical debt and oversee the technical backlog for your team.

• Provide mentorship and development opportunities for engineers; hold regular one-on-one meetings.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members.

• Conduct performance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are a seasoned Engineering Team Lead with over 10 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager supervising a team of 3–5 developers.

• You are a proactive leader capable of writing code, making informed technical choices, and thoughtfully designing systems.

• You possess strong people management abilities, including hiring, coaching, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.

• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product companies utilizing our technology stack: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis.

• Experience in fast-paced companies or startups is an advantage.

• Your English proficiency is at a B2+ level: you can articulate your thoughts clearly and engage confidently in technical discussions.
