Engineering Team Leader, Elements Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of 3-5 Fullstack developers.

• Write and review code, with a focus on management (approximately 70/30 split).

• Ensure compliance with company processes and engineering standards within the team.

• Take ownership of feature delivery and ensure deadlines are met.

• Make informed technical decisions, create technical designs for new features, and coordinate with adjacent teams and your manager.

• Manage technical debt and oversee the technical backlog for your team.

• Mentor and foster the growth of engineers; hold regular 1:1 meetings.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members.

• Conduct performance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are an experienced Engineering Team Lead with over 10 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a Team Lead or Engineering Manager role overseeing a team of 3–5 developers.

• You are a hands-on leader capable of writing code, making well-informed technical decisions, and designing systems with care.

• You possess strong people management abilities, including hiring, coaching, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.

• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product-oriented companies working with our technology stack: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis.

• Experience in fast-growing companies or startups is a plus.

• Your English proficiency is at a B2+ level: you can articulate thoughts easily and confidently engage in discussions on technical topics.
