Engineering Team Leader, Elements Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead a group of 3-5 Fullstack developers.

• Write and review code, dedicating approximately 70% of your time to management tasks.

• Ensure adherence to company processes and engineering standards by the team.

• Take ownership of feature delivery and ensure compliance with deadlines.

• Make key technical decisions, prepare designs for new features, and coordinate with adjacent teams and your manager.

• Manage technical debt and oversee the technical backlog for your team.

• Mentor and nurture engineers, holding regular one-on-one meetings.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members.

• Conduct performance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are a seasoned Engineering Team Lead with over 10 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing a team of 3–5 developers.

• You are a hands-on leader capable of writing code, making informed technical decisions, and thoughtfully designing systems.

• You possess strong people management abilities, including hiring, coaching, providing feedback, and conflict resolution.

• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in product companies working with our technology stack: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis.

• Experience in fast-growing companies or startups is a plus.

• Your English proficiency is at a B2+ level: you can communicate effectively and discuss technical topics with confidence.
