This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Guide and nurture a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators through coaching, performance assessments, career advancement, recruitment, and orientation.
• Collaborate with the Platform Operations Manager and Salesforce Technical Architect to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and achieve consistent results.
• Engage directly in about 25% of the standard engineering cycle.
• Work alongside business stakeholders to convert intricate requirements into effective, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Advocate for code reviews, testing practices, source-driven development, and comprehensive documentation.
• Enhance platform reliability, minimize technical debt, and fortify engineering methodologies.
• Act as a point of escalation for incidents and support non-blame postmortems and ongoing improvement.
• Ensure that work is accurately recorded, prioritized, and visible throughout the team.
• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including direct development roles.
• More than 4 years of experience overseeing Salesforce engineering teams, encompassing developers and/or administrators.
• Profound knowledge of Salesforce, including Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, security and sharing, governor limits, and the data model.
• Significant experience with Salesforce DevOps, including SFDX, Git, source-driven development, CI/CD, sandbox strategies, and automated testing.
• Capacity to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to balance direct technical contributions with leadership and team development.
• Experience in the hospitality, travel, timeshare, vacation ownership, or reservation-based sectors.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Knowledge of Linear or similar project management tools.
• Experience in integrating AI-assisted development tools within engineering teams.
