This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead and nurture a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators through coaching, performance management, career growth, hiring, and onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with the Platform Operations Manager and Salesforce Technical Architect to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and achieve reliable outcomes.
• Engage hands-on in roughly 25% of a standard engineering cycle.
• Work alongside business stakeholders to convert complex requirements into effective, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Advocate for code reviews, testing, source-driven development, and comprehensive documentation.
• Enhance platform reliability, minimize technical debt, and reinforce engineering best practices.
• Act as an escalation point for incidents and support blameless postmortems and ongoing improvement efforts.
• Ensure that all work is documented, prioritized, and visible within the team.
• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including direct development work.
• More than 4 years of experience leading Salesforce engineering teams, including developers and/or administrators.
• In-depth Salesforce knowledge across Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, security and sharing, governor limits, and the Salesforce data model.
• Strong background in Salesforce DevOps, encompassing SFDX, Git, source-driven development, CI/CD, sandbox strategy, and automated testing.
• Proficient in translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to balance hands-on technical contributions with team leadership and development.
• Experience in industries such as hospitality, travel, timeshare, vacation ownership, or reservation-based businesses.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Knowledge of Linear or similar project management tools.
• Experience in integrating AI-assisted development tools within engineering teams.
• Coaching, mentoring, recruiting, and cultivating Salesforce talent.
