This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Lead and develop a remote team of engineers by conducting regular one-on-ones, offering consistent feedback, and facilitating individual performance and career advancement.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership to define the roadmap, strategy, and OKRs for the Usage squad, ensuring alignment with the overall company mission and customer impact.
• Steer the team through the complete project lifecycle, from initial technical design and scoping to delivery and post-launch iteration, guaranteeing high-quality and timely results within the Usage domain (such as billing engine, cost management and billing application, reconciliation systems).
• Serve as a project manager, promoting collaboration with Product, DealOps, GTM, Pricing and Monetization, Support, and neighboring AppCore squads to eliminate obstacles and ensure synchronized delivery across service boundaries.
• Cultivate a high-trust, security-first team culture that embraces considered AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering workflows and reduce toil.
• Participate in hiring and talent acquisition initiatives, collaborating with People Ops to attract and retain a diverse group of engineers.
• At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Prior experience as an Individual Contributor (IC) in a relevant engineering position for a minimum of 3 years.
• A robust software engineering foundation, ideally including experience in backend systems (such as Go), allowing for credible engagement in technical design discussions and prompting the team towards sound decisions.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
• Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple concurrent projects, align stakeholders with conflicting priorities, and effectively communicate risks and timelines.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams that possess a strong sense of autonomy in their decision-making processes.
• Deeply customer-focused, consistently grounding technical choices in real-world user and business impacts.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and a willingness to integrate AI-powered resources into a team's workflow.
