This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Lead three teams (approximately 15 individuals) across internal system teams, shared services, and release functions.
• Ensure operational readiness across various environments, including monitoring, support, and reliability.
• Establish and enhance operating models, runbooks, and support frameworks by utilizing AI tools.
• Foster clear ownership and accountability across operational domains with key leaders.
• Manage release processes and execution across platforms and supported products.
• Guarantee predictable, high-quality releases through established processes and governance.
• Coordinate release planning, scheduling, and cross-team dependencies.
• Promote automation of release processes to enhance speed, reliability, and repeatability.
• Ensure effective release support, validation, and rollback mechanisms are in place.
• Oversee operational delivery outcomes across both internal and external teams.
• Support Program Increment (PI) planning, prioritization, and execution.
• Define and monitor operational metrics such as availability, Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), deployment success, and cost.
• Ensure effective environment provisioning, release support, and platform availability.
• Address operational issues, risks, and bottlenecks efficiently.
• Define and implement cost-reduction objectives and targets across infrastructure and operations.
• Establish cost baselines and monitor ongoing cost performance against targets.
• Drive efficiency through automation, standardization, and the reuse of platform capabilities.
• Minimize dependence on manual processes and customized solutions.
• Promote repeatable platform patterns and reference architectures.
• Advocate for the adoption of automation-first operational practices.
• Integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps-based delivery models.
• Utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and workflows to enhance operational productivity.
• Continuously refine platform services using data, insights, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with platform architecture and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Architecture to provide scalable, supportable, and consistent solutions.
• Promote operational quality, reliability, and discipline across teams.
• Set guidelines for cloud and Kubernetes platform usage.
• Manage approximately 15 engineers and platform engineers across three teams.
• Oversee hiring, performance management, and capability development.
• Cultivate a high-performance, accountable team culture.
• Enhance leadership and technical capabilities within operations teams.
• Proven experience in leading operations, platform, or engineering services teams.
• Experience managing multiple teams (10–20 individuals) within a complex environment.
• Strong history of owning or managing release processes and delivery operations.
• Proven track record of defining and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience overseeing development and release infrastructure (both on-premise and cloud).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience in implementing automation and DevOps / GitOps practices.
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and workflows in engineering settings.
• Experience working within Agile / Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
