Engineering Manager, Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture the Alloy engineering team

• Assist the Alloy team in their engagement with the OpenTelemetry collector community

• Work in close partnership with go-to-market teams to ensure customer success

• Collaborate effectively with product and engineering leadership

• Offer guidance throughout the entire project lifecycle

• Create a psychologically safe environment for engineers

• Engage across team boundaries and contribute to initiatives beyond your own team

⛳️ Requirements

• Sufficient domain expertise in observability and OpenTelemetry

• Comfortable working with self-sufficient engineering teams

• Knowledgeable about the latest technical developments

• Capable of collaborating across different time zones and cultures

• Proficient in managing complexity and aligning stakeholders

• Customer-centric with a strong grasp of distributed systems principles

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and practical experience
