This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take charge of the execution for the Connect engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality connectors and enhancements to the platform.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of 6 to 10 engineers while fostering a culture centered on ownership and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product management and senior engineering leaders to assist in roadmap planning and technical strategy.
• Propel advancements in connector reliability, performance, and operational excellence across cloud environments.
• Remain engaged with system design and architecture, stepping in hands-on when necessary to provide guidance or remove obstacles for the team.
• Contribute to the evolution of shared frameworks, tools, and development patterns to expedite and standardize the building of new connectors.
• Partner with SRE and support teams to enhance observability, on-call experiences, and overall operational health.
• Investigate and implement AI-assisted engineering practices to boost developer productivity and streamline workflows.
• Balance the delivery of new features with investments in addressing technical debt, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in an engineering management or technical leadership position.
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, data platforms, or integration systems such as pipelines, messaging systems, or connectors.
• Proven experience in delivering and operating production systems, with exposure to managing multiple parallel workstreams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with knowledge of the broader data ecosystem.
• Strong capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence outcomes through teamwork.
• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers across various levels.
• Excellent execution skills with the ability to prioritize, make trade-offs, and deliver results iteratively.
• A keen interest in enhancing engineering productivity, including utilizing modern tools such as AI-assisted workflows.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of experience.
