Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Lead extensive cross-team initiatives and guide them through to production.

• Participate in quarterly planning and the establishment of the roadmap.

• Assess feature designs to ensure compliance with non-functional requirements.

• Manage technical debt and handle incidents effectively.

• Recruit, assess, and inspire team members.

• Promote collaboration across teams and functions to enhance efficiency.

• Cultivate a results-oriented and business-focused culture.

• Track key performance indicators for the team.

• Maintain process and delivery transparency for stakeholders and partner functions.

• Streamline processes to boost productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of backend engineering experience, with a solid foundation in developing reliable, scalable systems (experience with Go is a plus).

• More than 2 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, preferably in a dynamic fintech or e-commerce setting.

• Proven experience in constructing scalable, distributed systems and managing high-load architectures.

• Strong grasp of backend tools and technologies — our stack includes PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and a microservices architecture.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.

• A strong enthusiasm for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• A proactive attitude with the capability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
