This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Take charge of the daily operations of your team, ensuring consistent, high-quality results that align with product and business objectives.
• Facilitate delivery ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives; continuously enhance team processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define backlogs, clarify requirements, and synchronize priorities and timelines.
• Work together with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Principal Engineers to maintain alignment on technical strategies and delivery schedules.
• Ensure operational excellence, focusing on system reliability, incident management, and support procedures.
• Mentor and develop your team through regular one-on-one meetings, constructive feedback, and professional development discussions.
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive team culture where individuals feel empowered to contribute and advance.
• Assist in managing performance, engagement, and wellbeing across the team, ensuring smooth operations during the maternity cover period.
• Provide stakeholders with updates on delivery progress, risks, and performance metrics.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding processes as necessary, reinforcing the team's stability and continuity.
• You possess experience leading engineering teams in a product-driven, SaaS setting.
• You have a background in software engineering and are comfortable engaging in technical discussions with your team members.
• You have taken ownership of delivery outcomes from start to finish, balancing quality, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• You are a people-oriented leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and facilitating growth in others.
• You communicate effectively and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are at ease working across teams and time zones, establishing strong relationships with your Product and Engineering counterparts.
• You excel in dynamic environments where priorities may shift, and you can provide clarity and organization when necessary.
• You lead with empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
