This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Report to the VP of Engineering.
• Oversee, manage, and support a remote-first full-stack engineering team consisting of up to 8 engineers.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, provide feedback, and facilitate hands-on career development.
• Foster a collaborative engineering culture that prioritizes feedback, craftsmanship, and quality.
• Steer high-integrity technical decisions and the development of sustainable architecture.
• Advance both near- and long-term engineering strategies.
• Drive outcomes related to reliability, observability, developer experience, continuous integration, data and ML tooling, and infrastructure cost management.
• Enhance agile practices, delivery cadence, workflows, and learning methodologies.
• Ensure sustainable and prompt delivery of technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional peers.
• Provide context, support, and guidance to achieve business outcomes.
• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and the wider leadership team on engineering growth and strategy.
• Assist in delivering digital mental health services for young individuals aged 13–25.
• Proven Engineering Manager with a successful history of attracting and retaining top talent.
• Successfully led and managed effective full-stack engineering teams in a remote setting.
• Experience in collaborating across different geographies and time zones.
• Embrace a servant leadership style centered on team success, individual growth, and learning from setbacks.
• Proficient in contemporary software development, quality assurance, and reliability practices.
• Capable of guiding engineers towards positive technical results.
• Skilled in data-informed, learning-driven iterative processes.
• Possess a robust toolkit of agile and lean delivery methodologies.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional partners to lead high-profile, consumer-facing projects to timely execution and delivery.
• Must be based in the UK.
• Successful completion of a DBS check is required.
