Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Oversee the overall health of AI projects (velocity, quality, blockers, timelines) and take early action when necessary.

• Review and approve key technical deliverables (architecture, APIs, security, database, deployment).

• Establish and enforce engineering processes (code reviews, CI/CD, testing, documentation, AI tooling).

• Approve presale development plans (architecture, stack, team, estimates).

• Validate discovery setups (processes, cadence, risks, tooling, acceptance criteria).

• Promote the adoption of AI development tools and assess their impact (Claude, Codex, agents).

• Assess new AI requirements (feasibility, effort, risks, approach).

• Identify and implement AI-driven process enhancements (automation, testing, monitoring, documentation).

• Supervise custom agent development (quality, value, best practices).

• Monitor and assess new AI/ML technologies, while maintaining an internal knowledge base.

• Lead internal AI education initiatives (workshops, materials, onboarding).

• Foster engineer development through feedback and identification of skill gaps.

• Engage in hiring processes and technical evaluations for AI positions.

• Facilitate mentorship programs aimed at AI skill enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years managing engineering teams or supervising multi-project deliveries.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT (in any relevant roles).

• A proven history of delivering production systems on schedule and within scope.

• Practical experience with AI/ML projects (LLMs, agents, vector databases, prompt engineering).

• Knowledge of agentic systems, model behavior, and AI-specific risks.

• Extensive experience in defining and enforcing engineering processes (CI/CD, code reviews, testing, documentation).

• Strong cross-team communication skills (CTO, Product Owners, designers, engineers).

• Ability to translate technical decisions into business impacts.

• Experience in mentoring engineers, facilitating knowledge sharing, and assisting with hiring processes.

• Hands-on experience with AI development tools (Claude, Codex, Copilot, etc.) and an understanding of their impact on productivity.

• Experience in validating technical feasibility, estimates, and discovery setups.

• Knowledge of testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end, AI validation).

• Awareness of security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.

• Solid understanding of modern tech stack (TypeScript, React, Node, Docker, PostgreSQL) with the ability to review code.
