Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and guidance to engineering team members, promoting growth and collaboration across backend, frontend, and mobile areas.

• Oversee team dynamics and cultivate a cohesive, high-performing team atmosphere.

• Participate in software architecture and systems design decisions, emphasizing microservices-based systems.

• Implement agile and lean delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) utilizing project management tools to enhance team effectiveness.

• Evaluate metrics and utilize data-driven insights to continually refine processes and results.

• Advocate for a DevOps culture by adopting practices such as test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD, and observability to maintain quality and reliability.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Design stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager.

• Hands-on software development experience in a production setting using a prominent programming language.

• Demonstrated experience leading engineers across backend, frontend, and mobile domains.

• Familiarity with contributing to software architecture and systems design for microservices architectures.

• Knowledge of Agile or Lean delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Experience in implementing DevOps engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation (e.g., TDD), and observability.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Design stakeholders.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Legal eligibility to work in Poland without requiring visa sponsorship or work permit support.

• Currently residing in Poland.

• Availability to work during core hours aligned with Poland/CET time zone.

• Experience managing a team with six or more direct reports is preferred.

• Production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.

• Familiarity with using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code in a production environment is preferred.

• Production experience with Python is preferred.

• Experience in working on a marketplace or platform product (B2B, B2C, or B2B2C) is preferred.
