Engineering Manager – AI Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Guide architectural choices for AI applications, enterprise integrations, and cloud-agnostic deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.

• Collaborate with Technical Leads on system architecture, database optimization, API design, and scalable backend/frontend development.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7-12 software engineers by offering technical direction and structured career growth opportunities.

• Keep abreast of AI/ML technologies, agentic AI frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Work in partnership with Product Managers to transform business requirements into technical roadmaps and deliverable timelines.

• Implement agile development methodologies, engineering best practices, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data, DevOps, and customer success teams.

• Define code quality standards, testing frameworks, and deployment pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering with a strong foundation in system design and scalable architecture.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in engineering management, leading technical teams within product-driven organizations.

• Comprehensive technical expertise covering databases (SQL/NoSQL), message queues, RESTful APIs, backend/frontend technologies, and microservices architecture.

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and knowledge of AI application integration with enterprise systems.

• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and contemporary deployment methodologies.

• Demonstrated success in scaling engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and establishing effective technical processes.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of coordinating effectively with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex distributed systems and making data-driven technical decisions.
