This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver essential technical support to our primary engineering initiatives.
• Carry out the assembly and fabrication of intricate hardware prototypes at the PCB level.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across various iterations of hardware prototypes.
• Refine and iterate on pre-production units to enhance overall system performance.
• Leverage additive manufacturing technologies to bring mechanical concepts to life while driving engineering improvements and managing technical escalations.
• Oversee the rollout of firmware updates and software release cycles across operational systems within the Flock ecosystem.
• Act as a key communication link back to our internal R&D teams, identifying actionable improvements for mechanical, hardware, and software systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical SOPs and diagnostic documentation to strengthen and expand our operational support infrastructure during periods of rapid organizational growth.
• Participate in the direct 'bring-up' and thorough QA evaluation of new engineering systems to ensure their long-term reliability.
• At least 3 years of experience providing technical engineering support, with direct involvement in hardware development during the prototyping phase.
• A minimum of 3 years in providing technical manufacturing support, with extensive knowledge of assembly methodologies and production systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex operational workflows, skillfully balancing technical innovation, system stability, and ongoing lifecycle support.
• Demonstrated skill in conducting systematic system evaluation cycles, including thorough data collection and consistent feedback integration.
• Proven expertise in fabrication techniques, including advanced soldering and wire termination methods, alongside proficient use of laboratory equipment—such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters—for in-depth power profiling and system tuning.
• Demonstrated capability to interpret complex electrical schematics and detailed technical documentation.
• Competency in Linux & Python for facilitating complex technical automation and data analysis.
• Directly manage the enhancement of educational frameworks to support the growth of sophisticated, multi-modal systems.
• Established background in scaling organizational capacity during periods of rapid technological advancement.
