Engineering Director – Associate Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance the engineering team while bolstering technical capabilities across various customer organizations.

• Identify, recruit, and allocate skilled engineering resources to fulfill customers' manpower and project needs.

• Create Statements of Work (SOW), quotes, and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.

• Provide prompt assistance for urgent customer issues, including emergency manpower deployment and resolution of technical or personnel-related obstacles.

• Assess and advocate for opportunities in Taiwan-based manufacturing and outsourcing collaborations.

• Utilize extensive hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment to comprehend customer challenges, deliver practical solutions, and facilitate technical decision-making.

• Assist in evaluating customer performance of assigned engineers and promote ongoing improvement based on customer insights.

• Mediate conflicts and communication barriers between customers and their internal engineering teams.

• Regularly communicate customer business status, manpower allocation, project advancement, and business development updates to management.

• Aid in business development initiatives and take on additional assignments as necessary.

• Hands-on experience in system/module assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and providing on-site technical support.

• Comprehensive understanding of assembly processes, system and hardware integration, testing, debugging, and manufacturing workflows within semiconductor equipment firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in engineering, operations, production, manufacturing, or R&D.

• Experience in the semiconductor sector, high-tech manufacturing, or intricate equipment assembly environments is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team.
