Engineering Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage with cutting-edge Cloud computing technologies to address complex, manual, and repetitive tasks for users implementing Cloud solutions such as AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, and others.

• Leverage the latest trends in developing SaaS applications utilizing multitenancy, scalability, and handling large data volumes / Big Data.

• Expand and enhance our portfolio to support a wide range of popular Cloud applications (200+).

• Acquire knowledge not just in software development but also in designing, developing, and launching products from concept to significant customer usage.

• Oversee multiple engineering projects, ensuring the timely and budget-conscious delivery of products.

• Lead a team of engineers by providing guidance on technical challenges.

• Collaborate with various teams, including product, design, and customer support, to facilitate smooth product development and delivery.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols by the team.

• Recruit, train, and mentor engineers and support staff.

• Assess and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance the engineering process.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to guarantee successful project completion.

• Must have successfully delivered at least two projects from start to finish.

• Provide oversight of the complete software development lifecycle for a team of developers and testers in an agile setting.

• Lead staff in implementing client solutions efficiently and timely, ensuring total quality of technical deliverables within their domain, while maintaining security and defect-free outcomes.

• Mentor technical staff throughout projects to promote continuous improvement, including helping each resource define and act on career paths and obtain necessary training. Responsible for hiring, training, staff development, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and salary reviews of technical personnel.

• Develop and establish departmental standards and procedures.

• Recommend the most efficient methods to ensure optimal implementation practices for newly upgraded products.

• Evaluate and report on progress and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess hands-on experience with Java, front-end technologies such as Bootstrap, jQuery, AWS, modular software development, multi-tenant architecture, and highly scalable systems.

• Proficient in cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience demonstrating the required skills and competencies in engineering.

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MS/MBA or other relevant graduate degrees are advantageous.

• Must have hands-on experience with full stack architecture.

• Possess in-depth conceptual knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration, microservice architectures, as well as DevOps practices and tools.

• Prior leadership or management experience is essential.

• Strong communication skills are required, as this position necessitates building consensus with numerous internal and external resources and effectively influencing the technical direction of projects for success.

• Ability to determine the most suitable implementation approach/methodology for assigned projects based on established guidelines and best practices, and to devise appropriate strategies to achieve desired objectives.

• Must be highly adaptable and quick to learn new technologies.
