This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide technical support and facilitate technical sales activities for the Canadian Solar residential energy storage system.
• Serve as the first level contact for sales inquiries related to technical or contractual matters.
• Accompany sales managers on customer visits to deliver product presentations, conduct training sessions, webinars, and customer events.
• Offer support for PV project design and proposal development.
• Work collaboratively with Product Management and Customer Service teams in the EU and HQ.
• Leverage expertise in the use and analysis of PVSyst and other PV simulation tools to assist with Residential Solar System design and production analysis.
• Define, clarify, and optimize technical terminology during contract negotiations in coordination with sales teams.
• Establish trusted professional relationships with customers, Sales Managers, and technical stakeholders in the industry.
• Assist with product launches and readiness for sales initiatives.
• Create technical sales tools and/or demonstration kits in partnership with Product Management.
• Develop training materials for customers and potential end-users, including homeowners and installers, in collaboration with Product Management.
• Provide pre-sale support for customer system design and installation inquiries.
• Advocate for customer needs and assess the impact of evolving codes and certifications on the market and specific products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or product management, preferably in the energy storage sector within the PV industry.
• Installation experience with PV modules and battery storage systems is a significant advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to rapidly learn intricate details of the existing product portfolio, and effectively communicate and address technical and product-related inquiries.
• Proficient in understanding and applying financial product calculations, including product cost and sales price definition, analysis, and recommendations.
• Ability to communicate convincingly and effectively with customers, installers, homeowners, Residential PV integrators, industry working groups, and regulatory authorities.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages such as German or Italian is a plus.
