Engineer II, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of an agile DevOps team to develop and sustain essential infrastructure.

• Engage in planning and design activities.

• Complete sprint tasks in a timely and cooperative manner.

• Assist in establishing and overseeing CI/CD processes to facilitate efficient code deployments and system updates.

• Provide support for the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Contribute to the management of microservices architecture and orchestration through the use of container technologies.

• Work alongside software development teams to diagnose and resolve system issues and outages.

• Support the implementation of best practices for system hardening and configuration management.

• Ensure that security compliance and vulnerability remediations are maintained within service level agreements (SLAs).

• Participate in on-call rotations to assist with system operations.

• Help document processes and monitor system logs and activities to identify potential issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, and/or over 3 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or a comparable role.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS: ECS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, AWS CLI, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Proficient in containerization and orchestration tools, especially Docker and Amazon ECS.

• Understanding of basic networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash/zsh preferred).

• Strong skills in Git.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
