This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of our content, platform methodologies, and existing research in India.
• Engage with our UK-based team, including a two-week visit, to gain insights into our current networks, engagements, and objectives for India.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key partners across India, such as civil society organizations, companies, investors, trade associations, and policymakers.
• Focus particularly on the network of civil society organizations dedicated to corporate sustainability.
• Coordinate interactions with companies, financial institutions, and policy stakeholders to promote climate and nature accountability in India.
• Represent InfluenceMap at regional events, gatherings, and discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Acquire and utilize InfluenceMap’s platform methodologies to support the team and provide regional context for our work and messaging.
• Collaborate with our global and India teams to create relevant content for media, investors, and other regional stakeholders.
• Track developments in India’s climate, energy, and broader sustainability landscape to ensure our outputs remain relevant and timely.
• Work closely with analysts involved in our India program.
• Collaborate across time zones with our global teams and regional programs.
• Provide regional insights to support our broader initiatives.
• As our presence expands, there may be opportunities to assist in building and shaping the India team.
• Climate and energy experience: approximately 3 to 4 years working on climate or energy matters in India, particularly in contexts involving engagement with corporations, civil society organizations, finance, trade associations, or policymakers.
• Civil society networks: knowledge of India’s civil society landscape, particularly organizations focused on corporate sustainability, and ideally possessing established contacts within these networks.
• Stakeholder engagement: a proven track record of building and managing relationships across a mix of companies, civil society, finance, trade associations, and policy stakeholders.
• Climate and energy policy knowledge: solid understanding of India’s climate and energy policy environment, including key institutions, policy processes, and current developments.
• Analytical capability: proficiency in research methodologies and engaging with data-driven analysis.
• Communication skills: ability to translate complex issues and data into clear narratives suitable for various audiences.
• Language: Fluent in Hindi and possess strong written and spoken English for effective global collaboration.
• A plus: experience in supporting or coordinating others, although this is not a requirement.
• Right to work in India.
• Employment type: full-time position based in India.
• Location: based in Delhi, with flexible and remote working options available.
• Salary: starting at ₹15,00,000 base salary per annum (plus mandatory statutory bonus), depending on experience and qualifications.
