
Energy Rating Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Examine construction blueprints and plans.
β’ Develop energy models utilizing EKOTROPE software.
β’ Conduct site visits during the construction phase.
β’ Gather site data and perform diagnostic tests, including using blower door and duct blaster equipment.
β’ Document and produce reports related to the progress, status, and outcomes of each project.
β’ Prepare and submit necessary documents to verify compliance with codes, certification, and rebate eligibility.
β’ Articulate technical concepts to contractors to support energy efficiency and green specifications.
β’ Collaborate with project teams to set goals and determine pathways for projects.
β’ Assist projects from initial energy modeling to final construction, helping project teams meet their objectives (energy savings, code compliance, green verification).
β’ Offer technical assistance and training to project teams to help them overcome barriers, achieve verification goals, and secure relevant program incentives.
β’ Initiate outreach efforts to potential clients to provide consulting services.
β’ Engage in ongoing training and education offered by CLEAResult to develop a robust technical knowledge of building science, diagnostic testing, and the latest industry advancements.
β’ Bachelor's degree preferred (in Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or a related field); relevant field experience may substitute for degree for the right candidate.
β’ Experience in Residential Construction is preferred.
β’ Demonstrated ability to learn and assimilate technical information from various sources related to design, construction standards, and building science.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, writing, verbal communication, and reporting skills.
β’ Capability to manage multiple details, tasks, and deadlines independently and within a team environment.
β’ If applicable, fulfill all DOT qualification requirements and adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
