Energy Market Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Leverage real-world insights from electricity markets to help customers derive value from the product offerings.

• Contribute to the development of Powerline’s products by analyzing and optimizing energy assets.

• Collaborate effectively with traders, asset managers, and renewable energy developers to assess market results, review trading and development strategies, and provide actionable recommendations.

• Work closely with the engineering team to assist in the creation of the development roadmap.

• Oversee the customer experience throughout their journey, from pre-sales activities to technical account management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the Great Britain (NESO, EPEX, etc.) and/or other European Energy Markets;

• Solid understanding of power market fundamentals, encompassing dispatch dynamics, bidding strategies, and revenue drivers for energy assets.

• Proficiency in analyzing extensive energy datasets and deriving insights that support trading, operational, or commercial decision-making.

• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or similar analytics software.

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to effectively communicate complex market insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Ability to excel in high-paced environments.

• Background in trading or optimizing battery storage assets or renewable energy portfolios.

• Experience in creating dashboards, automated reports, or market analytics tools.

• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
