This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Oversee the planning, design, permitting, and implementation of utility substations, behind-the-meter generation, and essential energy infrastructure for various projects.
• Supervise utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers from the development phase through to commissioning and energization.
• Collaborate with Development and Energy Strategy teams to shift projects from utility negotiations and site assessments into the execution phase.
• Provide additional support for data center design coordination, ensuring that energy infrastructure aligns with customer needs and campus design milestones.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, Procurement, and Development teams to define project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Create and uphold integrated project schedules, manage critical path activities, and proactively address project risks.
• Administer project budgets, cost forecasts, change management, and executive reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination among internal teams, utilities, EPC partners, consultants, and external agencies.
• Direct the coordination of environmental, air, and utility permitting tasks essential for energy infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with development timelines and regulatory standards.
• Supervise the coordination of medium voltage infrastructure, utility connections, fuel systems, and other vital power infrastructure.
• Assist with commissioning, integrated systems testing, and energization efforts alongside Commissioning teams, utilities, and EPC partners.
• Collaborate with Operations during transition activities, offering technical assistance, documentation, and training to guarantee a smooth handover to long-term ownership.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with utilities, EPC firms, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
• Proven experience in delivering utility substations, behind-the-meter generation, or large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong comprehension of utility interconnections, power generation systems, and medium- and high-voltage infrastructure.
• Familiarity with environmental and air permitting processes related to power generation, energy infrastructure, or large industrial projects.
• Experience in managing large capital projects, including budget oversight, scheduling, cost forecasting, and risk management.
• Knowledge of EPC delivery models, commissioning, and operational turnover for critical infrastructure assets.
• Understanding of data center development, design coordination, and mission-critical environments.
• Experience in creating integrated project schedules and managing critical path tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders across complex projects.
