This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer specialized support on employee relations matters throughout the organization, including the People Team (performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.), ensuring adherence to local regulations and uniformity in policy enforcement.
• Counsel leadership on approaches to cultivate a constructive, inclusive workplace, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.
• Oversee internal investigations related to workplace concerns, ensuring compliance and legal review, and preparing necessary documentation with a focus on resolving issues.
• Collaborate proactively with our legal team and external advisors to keep abreast of and anticipate changes in labor laws, ensuring that the company’s policies stay current and compliant. Provide strategic direction on legal ramifications and effectively manage risks in employee relations scenarios.
• Take ownership of, define, and develop essential HR policies such as performance management, disciplinary processes, and related procedures, ensuring these processes are scalable and responsive to the organization's evolving needs. This involves designing and delivering training on employee relations topics including conflict resolution, performance management, and compliance, aimed at HR teams and managers.
• Monitor and manage employee relations cases, providing reports on trends, outcomes, and actionable insights to HR leadership to enhance practices across the region.
• Assess global and region-specific strategies for employee relations, considering cultural differences while ensuring consistency.
• Manage all Performance Improvement Plans (PiP) in the US, ANZ, APAC, and Mexico, ensuring a fair approach.
• Deliver pragmatic Employee Relations advice that effectively addresses and balances the business's needs.
• At least 7 years of experience in employee relations, HR, or labor law, with global exposure.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law and best practices in the US, with the capability to navigate complex, multi-country challenges.
• Prior experience in a dynamic, global organization is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence workplace behaviors and establish relationships at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, effectively nurturing relationships with senior leadership, business partners, and external entities.
• Experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues with a high level of confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.
• Ability to juggle multiple cases and priorities while providing strategic counsel under pressure.
• Strong cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt strategies to various countries and regions within the US.
• Exhibits problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to data collection and root cause analysis. Displays intellectual curiosity and contributes valuable insights to the team/business.
