Emergency Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Availability for at least one (1) rotation OCONUS annually, along with additional training and screening events is required. This position will contribute to Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team operations, which include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering comprehensive emergency medical care in austere and resource-limited environments.

• Conducting examinations, diagnosing, and treating or prescribing a treatment plan for patients with both routine and emergency medical conditions.

• Serving as the emergency medicine Subject Matter Expert (SME) by providing consultation and guidance to patients and customers.

• Collaborating with a small team of professionals.

• Assisting a general surgeon and anesthesiology provider in the delivery of perioperative care.

• Overseeing and executing direct patient care, including damage control resuscitation in challenging environments with limited resources.

• Planning and executing Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for patients requiring ICU-level care.

• Depending on qualifications and experience, may assume a leadership role.

• Supervising attached medical personnel (Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medics, etc.) as necessary.

• Documenting care provided and completing medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policies.

• Performing special staff functions as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active SECRET or higher security clearance.

• Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.

• Current Board Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.

• Active civilian practice to maintain clinical competency during non-deployed periods.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an Emergency Physician.

• At least five (5) years of U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience.

• Deployment in a U.S. Military or Government Sponsored capacity within the last three (3) years in austere and combat-like conditions.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy.

• Experience as a staff or attending physician in a high-volume/high-acuity or critical access environment.

• Deployment experience in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities.

• Must be a United States citizen.

• Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

• Current and unrestricted DEA license.

• Valid United States Passport that will not expire within one year of employment.

• Candidates who are successful may be invited for an in-person assessment process.

• Must be a legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states; residency in a U.S. territory does not fulfill this requirement.

• **Strongly Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience in the Military Special Operations Community.

• Previous deployment experience with Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) or equivalent.

• TS/SCI security clearance.

• Capability to lift 150 pounds with assistance; carry 80 pounds over a distance of 30 feet and push/pull over 200 pounds, must meet the anthropometric standards of the assigned platform.
