Emergency Department Medical Coder – Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Responsible for coding and abstracting professional fee hospital services from medical records in accordance with established guidelines.

• Employs 3M Encoder to verify RVUs and manage procedure unbundling.

• Achieves and maintains a coding accuracy rate of 95%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS-P certification.

• Requires a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in CPT/HCPCS physician procedural coding.

• Must have a solid understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
