This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• As the Sales Manager, you will be accountable for achieving revenue and gross margin objectives for the Optical Sensors and Metrology (OSM) Systems Product lines within the EMEA region.
• Key responsibilities include managing accounts and relationships with direct clients while enhancing the efforts of channel partners, including global coordination of these activities.
• This role demands a hands-on approach to technical sales, which includes delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations to channel partners, prospective clients, and customers.
• You will identify and pursue new business and market opportunities, managing project activities and customer relationships to meet the revenue and growth targets set for the Systems Product Lines.
• Foster and manage relationships with direct accounts, including OEMs, to maximize revenue and gross margin.
• Oversee channel partners (manufacturers’ representatives and distributors) to ensure optimal revenue and gross margin performance.
• Assess the distribution network within your territory, aiming for continuous improvement in channel performance by replacing or enhancing underperforming representatives and distributors.
• Organize and participate in trade shows to showcase products and create new opportunities.
• Keep customer profiles and information current through the CRM system, providing management with feedback, including sales activity reports and both short-term and long-term sales forecasts.
• Collect relevant market intelligence, including the latest technologies, industry trends, competitor movements, changes in current markets, and the emergence of new markets to inform product management teams.
• Coordinate product demonstrations and evaluations that facilitate sales, either directly or through the distribution team.
• Summarize technical scenarios and business opportunities, sharing insights with management and internal stakeholders via our CRM platform.
• Engage in the global applications forum and communicate new product applications to address customer issues.
• Employ Return-On-Investment analysis based on global customer use cases to enhance the adoption of WaferSense products within the customer base.
• Provide product training to customers and channel partners as necessary.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation by offering feedback to product and engineering teams, reporting issues, and suggesting enhancements for our products.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher (engineering or scientific discipline preferred).
• 5-8 years of experience in a comparable technical sales role, with business development experience being an advantage.
• Preferred background includes PCBA, semiconductor backend, and experience as a process or equipment engineer or manager with customers or suppliers.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills such as German, French, Italian, or others are a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive and assertive business approach; self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Familiarity with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, TEAMS); experience using a CRM system (Salesforce, C4C, etc.) is required.
• Willingness to travel within the EMEA region 50% to 65% of the time; international travel approximately 5%.
