This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Oversee the complete payroll processing cycle for various EMEA payrolls, which includes preparation, processing, post-payroll activities, and tax submissions, in collaboration with the outsourced payroll provider.
• Preserve the payroll processing system and records by collecting, calculating, and entering data accurately.
• Analyze data feeds from the HR system, ensuring that fixed data modifications are implemented in the payroll system and that the data remains consistent across both systems.
• Collaborate closely with the payroll vendor and other external parties to facilitate a seamless monthly payroll process.
• Generate payroll and benefits reports for the HR and Finance departments.
• Update the internal Payroll Procedures manual, documenting any process changes and new procedures.
• Address complex payroll inquiries from various departments and employees, escalating issues when necessary.
• Propose ongoing process enhancements to improve service quality and reduce payroll costs.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and control standards while coordinating the production of all external compliance reports and deliverables.
• Prepare necessary reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance firms, or other organizations.
• Guarantee that all ERS/EES Pension contributions are calculated, submitted, and reported to the relevant investment funds promptly and accurately.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests as required.
• Collaborate with HR and HPBPs to resolve payroll-related issues, employee benefits in kind, irregular payments, and inquiries from employees or vendors.
• Ensure that all employee-related issues are addressed appropriately or escalated via HR when relevant, particularly regarding sickness and absence records necessary for payroll compliance.
• Stay informed about all pertinent local regulations affecting payroll.
• Aid Accountants with the monthly cash forecast and analysis of monthly variances compared to the Actual/Forecast for the EMEA Payroll Controller.
• Report to the leader of the EMEA Central and overseas Payroll Team.
• Possess a solid understanding of EMEA payroll compliance, including payroll laws and regulations for each country within the region.
• Keep updated on the rules and regulations governing the EMEA region by attending workshops and events as necessary.
• Fluent in Romanian and English.
• At least 3 years of payroll experience.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll and benefits across international payrolls.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and managing aspects of the payroll process in line with local compliance requirements.
• In-depth technical payroll expertise.
• Proven ability to enhance processes and controls.
• Experience collaborating with payroll systems and HR business partners.
• Adaptability to a highly sales-driven and fast-paced environment.
• Background in a software company, preferably a global organization.
• Experience as part of a global Finance organization supporting international actions and initiatives.
• Proven track record of working cross-functionally with HR on improvements and enhancements.
• Familiarity with SAP HRIS, ADP Streamline, and IQHR.
