Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated course content in a virtual setting.

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process with an emphasis on students’ unique needs.

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Collaborate closely with students and their parents/learning coaches to promote each student's learning towards set objectives.

• Operate from home with occasional travel throughout the year for various school events, including state testing or as required by the school.

• Create engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.

• Commit to personalizing the learning experience for each student.

• Exhibit a belief in every student's potential to succeed and meet high standards.

• Differentiate instruction according to each student's level of mastery.

• Prepare students for important standardized tests.

• Establish and maintain a positive relationship with families and communicate regularly with them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree AND an active state teaching license AND the ability to pass the required background check.

• Experience working with the specified age group.

• Familiarity with assisting adults and children in using technology.

• Experience teaching in an online (virtual) setting and/or in a traditional classroom environment.

• Proficiency with online learning platforms.

• Ability to collaborate with fellow educators to analyze and produce numerical, tabular, and graphical representations of student data, using this information to inform instructional decisions.

• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Capability to adapt to changes to ensure outstanding student outcomes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adjust to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curricula.
