Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Delivers immersive and interactive learning experiences for students, both synchronously and asynchronously.

• Dedicated to customizing learning pathways for every student.

• Holds a firm belief in the potential of all students to achieve and meet high standards.

• Adapts instructional methods based on the individual mastery levels of students.

• Enhances course materials in accordance with established guidelines by utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools, under the supervision of the principal and coach.

• Keeps an accurate grade book to uphold student academic integrity, makes decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and informs administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress.

• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Recognizes that a key responsibility is to build and sustain positive relationships with families, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness to students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assists learning coaches/parents with issues related to student curriculum and instruction, as well as providing basic troubleshooting support in a virtual classroom setting, in alignment with academy policies and procedures.

• Travels as necessary (averaging once a month and/or approximately 20% of the time) for in-person professional development, student testing, and other school-related requirements.

• Bachelor's degree AND

• Valid state teaching license AND

• Ability to pass the necessary background check.
