This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• The Elementary Reading Interventionist engages with the “At-Risk” student demographic to deliver targeted remediation aimed at achieving academic objectives and fostering growth in these areas.
• Customizes and/or modifies the K12 curriculum in accordance with state content standards to cater to the distinct needs of each student.
• Collaborates with general education instructors to fulfill the goals set for the targeted students through personalized and small group sessions.
• Informs parents about various instructional strategies to support their children's learning.
• Guarantees the effective implementation of the RTI instructional framework to enhance student achievement.
• Supervises data collection and monitors progress at every tier of intervention.
• Utilizes data to assist teachers in planning both whole and small group instruction; offers guidance to educators on identifying and grouping students needing additional support.
• Gathers and maintains all RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.
• A Bachelor's degree AND an active state teaching license AND the ability to pass the required background check.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with fellow teachers to analyze and produce numerical, tabular, and graphical representations of student data, using it to inform instructional decisions.
• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to adapt to change to ensure optimal student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours while being fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. takes into account an individual’s education, experience, and qualifications, along with the position’s work location, anticipated quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market conditions, and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will vary based on these factors, the level of the position, expected contributions, and the employee’s benefits selections. Offers will generally be positioned in the lower half of the salary range.
