Electrical Supervisor, Commissioning Experience Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee electrical teams, contractors, and technicians involved in the installation of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and low-voltage systems.

• Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, panel schedules, specifications, and engineering designs to ensure accurate installation and operational efficiency.

• Perform thorough on-site inspections of electrical installations, including panel setups, conduit installations, cable routing, and equipment connections.

• Guarantee that all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical regulations, fire safety codes, and municipal guidelines.

• Collaborate with electrical inspectors, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and utility companies to secure permits, conduct inspections, and obtain necessary approvals.

• Generate detailed progress reports, inspection logs, test results, and status updates for stakeholders involved in the project.

• Enforce electrical safety protocols, execute lockout/tagout procedures, manage arc flash safety, and ensure adherence to OSHA electrical standards.

• Supervise electrical testing processes, including continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, ground fault assessments, protective relay testing, and system commissioning.

• Coordinate work among various electrical subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to timelines, and effective project coordination.

• Diagnose electrical problems, address design discrepancies, and implement field solutions for installation-related challenges.

• Keep precise records of inspections, testing outcomes, warranties, submittals, and as-built documentation.

• Align electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection trades to avoid conflicts.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrical supervision experience in commercial, industrial (Manufacturing/Clean Lab), or institutional projects; experience in data centers is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, lighting systems, and low-voltage applications; commissioning experience is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of NEC, local electrical regulations, and inspection processes.

• Proven capability to create detailed inspection reports and technical documentation.

• Significant field inspection experience, encompassing electrical testing and quality assurance.

• Demonstrated skill in supervising electrical teams and coordinating efforts with multiple contractors.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

• Minimum requirement of an Associate Engineer License.

• Professional licenses such as PE or a contractor's license are a bonus.

• Training in arc flash safety and relevant safety certifications.

• Familiarity with BIM coordination and electrical design software.
