This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the high-quality installation of electrical aspects of the project, which includes underground cabling, module-to-module wiring, combiner box terminations, and the DC collection system.
• Collaborate with the engineering team for drawing, constructability, and submittal reviews, ensuring that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet the specifications and updates outlined in the contract documents.
• Partner with the Site Manager and the owner’s Project Manager to review project schedules and updates.
• Supervise and uphold quality control standards for the work team.
• Manage interactions with relevant personnel regarding the connection of the project’s power grid to the existing transmission system.
• Attend and engage in project meetings, facilitating communication between engineers, contractors, and craft workers to ensure compliance of electrical components with project drawings and specifications.
• Foster and maintain a collaborative team environment within the project team.
• Build and sustain relationships with all site visitors, including customers and contractors.
• Efficiently review logistics and provide recommendations for enhancements.
• Oversee the contractor’s procurement of electrical resources, methods, staffing, look-ahead schedules, and coordination with other site activities.
• Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure that plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs are accurately and promptly communicated to subcontractors.
• Monitor the safety, quality, and efficiency of contractors' work on each project.
• Ensure that subcontract crews provided by the owner have the necessary resources and support.
• A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in the installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of DC and medium voltage cables.
• Familiarity with current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, Megger, TTR, Doble, and other testing methodologies for cables and equipment.
• Possess a solid understanding of electrical drawings, sketches, and prints, including underground duct banks, trenching, manholes, vaults for collection systems, underground and pad mount transformers, and SCADA systems utilized in the power industry.
