Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Generate precise electrical construction cost estimates from the initial design phase through to the completion of construction documents.

• Examine construction drawings, specifications, and supplementary documentation to create detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing.

• Assess costs related to labor, materials, equipment, subcontracting, and installation.

• Work in conjunction with engineering teams to clarify project scope and identify possible cost implications.

• Support budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.

• Keep estimating documentation updated and assist in the ongoing enhancement of estimating practices.

• Travel occasionally for training, team meetings, and project site inspections as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in electrical estimating, ideally in M/E/P, infrastructure, or industrial construction.

• Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, specifications, and estimating techniques.

• Proven experience in preparing estimates across various phases of design development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (training will be provided on the firm's proprietary estimating platform).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Self-driven with the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to Parkton, Maryland for training and team meetings.

• Open to periodic travel for project site visits.
