Electrical Engineer, Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate electrical systems for solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) installations.

• Develop system layouts, stringing plans, voltage drop assessments, and technical specifications.

• Provide support during construction through site visits and technical evaluations.

• Create and maintain system diagrams, equipment specifications, and relevant reports.

• Ensure adherence to NEC, NESC, and industry regulations.

• Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies.

• Assess vendor submissions and coordinate with the procurement team.

• Keep precise documentation within project management databases.

• Offer insights and enhancements based on field observations.

• Assist with permitting and interconnection processes.

• Travel to job sites as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in solar energy, renewable energy, or power systems design.

• Familiarity with NEC and relevant renewable energy standards.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background verification.

• Ability to work with solar and BESS electrical systems.

• Physical capability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for extended durations.

• Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.

• Occasionally required to travel to project locations.
