This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the current electrical team on the design of new products, modifications of existing configurations, and addressing obsolescence challenges.
• Develop and oversee Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Management using Symbotic’s PLM system.
• Mentor junior engineers, drafters, and technicians to facilitate the design, documentation, testing, and project release processes.
• Assist production by analyzing fabrication failures, resolving technical issues, and addressing field failures.
• Investigate and assess electro-mechanical components such as cables, connectors, and sensors.
• Establish protocols, draft test plans, and perform testing necessary to confirm the safety and effectiveness of designs.
• Travel to customer locations to assist with new installations and system deployment tasks.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a similar engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, specifically in Industrial Control Systems, with a preference for Rockwell product familiarity.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and/or EPlan CAD software.
• Familiar with industry standards such as NFPA 70 (NEC), UL 508A, NFPA 79, ANSI/NECA 1, and ISO 12100.
• Experience in creating Bills of Materials and managing Engineering Change Management processes.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, AS-i, and EtherCAT.
