Electrical Designer

📋 Description

• The Designer will possess intermediate expertise in creating 2D drawings with AutoCAD for installation details, panel layouts, and equipment/instrument wiring schematics pertaining to pipeline and facility projects.

• The Designer will transform CAD concepts from general instructions into a detailed final product.

• The Designer will collaborate with Drafters to prepare and compile project deliverables.

• The Designer should have a comprehensive understanding of file structures, specifications, and industry and client standards relevant to assigned projects.

• Incorporate field notes, survey data, design information, vendor details, and engineering schematics.

• Organize sheets, title blocks, notes, and details as an integral part of the drawing package.

• Execute calculations for electrical wire and cable sizing.

• Design electrical systems and instrumentation in accordance with NEC requirements.

• Ability to develop and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of extensive CAD electrical design experience in the gas transmission sector.

• Familiarity with Revit, visual lighting, Excel, and Bluebeam is advantageous.

• An associate degree or completion of relevant technical school courses or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Capability to manage personal workload and oversee a small design team to achieve results.

• Organizational skills: Maintain focus and complete projects within budget.

• Attention to detail: The finer points are crucial!
