Electrical Design, Estimation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Prepare comprehensive electrical designs, plans, and cost estimations for projects, which encompass electrical systems, data, communications, CCTV, AV, and lighting.

• Execute quantity take-offs, create Bills of Materials, and develop project specifications utilizing tools such as AutoCAD, Groundplan, and Bluebeam Revu.

• Perform site inspections and deliver technical evaluations for tendering and project execution.

• Create and submit proposals in response to RFQs, RFTs, and various client requirements.

• Collaborate with suppliers to procure materials and confirm pricing, specifications, and adherence to technical standards.

• Supervise installations, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS3000, AS1158) and local regulations.

• Employ project management software like Ascora, Odoo, and the Microsoft Office suite for reporting, documentation, and communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred or currently pursuing).

• Registered Electrical Engineer and Registered Master Electrician.

• Demonstrated experience in electrical system design, estimation, and project management (preferably with international projects).

• Proficiency in: Simpro, Groundplan, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, AGi32, PowerPac 7.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience with project management software: Ascora, Odoo.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

• Capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
