Electrical Cost Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and develop new items and CSI MasterFormat divisions for the database, which includes descriptions, scope clarifications, markups, labor, material, and equipment costs.

• Revise existing unit costs; enhance and clarify current item descriptions and scopes.

• Recognize connections between items, quantities, and costs to consolidate multiple items into assembly-based unit costs.

• Assess, approve, or decline items and costs submitted by contractors.

• Collaborate with contractors, field Account Managers, and client Project Managers to identify suitable item selections, review and validate bid proposals, reconcile item costs and scopes, and introduce new items.

• Partner with other estimators, architects, engineers, client representatives, and various project stakeholders.

• May undertake additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, along with 3 years of relevant experience; or 5 years of experience in lieu of formal education.

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical cost estimating, including various types of commercial buildings, electrical systems, methods, and regional market conditions.

• Capability to adopt and effectively utilize multiple software platforms.

• Familiarity with and the ability to implement CSI MasterFormat and UniFormat coding structures.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and time management abilities.
