This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
β’ Perform on-site assessments of facilities as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on existing buildings and evaluating their electrical systems, which include emergency power, photovoltaic, fire alarm, security, data communication, and surveillance systems.
β’ Collaborate effectively and efficiently with clients and on-site personnel to evaluate client assets, maintaining an average daily walk rate of 125-250k square feet.
β’ Assess the condition, remaining useful life, necessary costs, and remedial actions for electrical and low-voltage systems.
β’ Deliver technical identification and descriptions of deficiencies, ranging from minor concerns to critical issues.
β’ Offer recommendations for corrections and articulate them with adequate technical detail for future project planning and cost estimation.
β’ Conduct interviews with building operations and maintenance staff to gather information on building history, previous work orders, and operational details; prepare documentation on project progress for the project manager's review.
β’ Review the work of colleagues and actively engage in post-project evaluations.
β’ May take on additional responsibilities as needed.
β’ At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
β’ Direct experience in conducting architectural facility condition assessments is highly preferred.
β’ Experience in assessing healthcare and educational institutions is also strongly preferred.
β’ Previous cost estimating experience is appreciated but not mandatory.
β’ Registration, licensure, or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
β’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, alongside a clear aptitude for using tablets and mobile devices.
β’ Familiarity with Deltek Vision, Adobe Suite, and Bluebeam is valued but not essential.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 40% for out-of-town assignments; typically, projects involve one week in the field followed by two weeks in the office.
β’ Must be physically capable of walking the designated areas daily, climbing fixed and sometimes extension ladders, and walking on roof surfaces with up to a 3/12 slope.
