Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• The ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION INSPECTOR is tasked with monitoring and assessing suppliers to guarantee that all provided equipment adheres to the company's quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and performance criteria.

• This position requires travel for onsite inspections, document evaluations, functional testing, and ongoing improvement initiatives that uphold product integrity and ensure supplier accountability.

• Oversee, assess, and finalize supplier corrective actions.

• Create and finalize audit reports with accompanying photos, and promptly communicate audit findings to cross-functional teams and suppliers.

• Evaluate supplier change notifications and assess their impact on internal systems.

• Maintain comprehensive audit reports and supplier documentation.

• Collaborate with suppliers to guarantee product compliance with specifications and conduct supplier audits as necessary.

• Develop measurement methodologies for product release at supplier facilities.

• Provide support for external manufacturing areas.

• Partner with production staff to determine and monitor quality metrics, sample plans, and address issues with non-conforming products.

• Aid in corrective and preventive action investigations to identify and resolve root causes of issues.

• Inspect incoming supplies and products from vendors to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintain detailed records of supplier quality, including defect rates and problem areas.

• Act as a liaison among the organization's senior management, clients, and vendors.

• Interpret and verify production and/or assembly information by reading work instructions and/or drawings.

• Work will be on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours, and rates will be determined by experience and current certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to work 50+ hours per week.

• High School Diploma or GED Certification.

• At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector or in a similar role.

• Proficient in AC/DC applications, as well as electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components.

• Familiar with E&I testing, calibration, inspection, functional testing, and field installation.

• Knowledgeable about electrical codes and industry standards for low, medium, and high voltage components.

• Skilled in software applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

• Proven ability to deliver visionary strategic leadership and experience in guiding implementation processes.

• Capable of reading, understanding, and adhering to company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently.

• Strong dedication to personal and team safety.

• Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
