This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Take on the EHS leadership position as the main contact on site while actively assisting construction management and subcontractors.
β’ Foster a robust safety culture and incorporate EHS into all site activities in line with GE Vernova standards.
β’ Aid in the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of the EHS management system, conducting hazard assessments and risk analyses.
β’ Organize and execute EHS audits, inspections, and safety walks, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions.
β’ Guarantee structured EHS reporting and the accurate recording, investigation, and analysis of incidents and near misses.
β’ Execute, oversee, and continuously enhance the Permit-to-Work system (work permits) along with relevant site control processes.
β’ Lead and facilitate training sessions, safety meetings, and toolbox talks, while promoting active engagement among employees.
β’ Guide site leadership and subcontractors to enhance EHS accountability and ensure adherence to all requirements.
β’ Supervise subcontractor EHS performance, including qualification, onboarding, and compliance with legal and project-specific mandates.
β’ Ensure the implementation of environmental management measures (e.g., waste management, emissions control, hazardous substances, water protection) and compliance with legal and client-specific obligations.
β’ Establish emergency preparedness through recognized processes, drills, suitable equipment, and coordinated communication with all pertinent stakeholders.
β’ Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental or engineering fields, or a technical/vocational qualification with relevant EHS experience.
β’ Acknowledged certification as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft fΓΌr Arbeitssicherheit) under DGUV and as a Site Safety Coordinator (SiGeKo).
β’ Extensive experience in EHS, preferably within construction, installation, or industrial projects.
β’ Strong understanding of German occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations and site EHS procedures (including Permit-to-Work / Control-of-Work).
β’ Proficient in German and possess good written and spoken English skills.
β’ Skilled in using MS Office applications.
