EHS Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess multi-site safety systems to identify opportunities for enhancement and develop safety system processes, guidance, and documentation.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations while fostering a robust safety culture throughout the facilities.

• Collaborate with the Divisional Compliance Officer to advance existing systems and ensure alignment across the Division.

• Work closely with site EHS leaders, operations, engineering, quality, and management teams to minimize risks, promote continuous improvement initiatives, and apply best practices that contribute to a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

• Act as the primary hands-on EHS resource, assisting site leadership and EHS leads in creating safety policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.

• Oversee the execution of safety inspections, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace audits to identify and address potential hazards.

• Direct incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

• Maintain essential EHS documentation, records, reports, and compliance tracking systems.

• Assist with regulatory inspections and coordinate responses to findings.

• Create and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership as we progress through our maturity model.

• Supervise environmental programs and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workplace safety, processes, and operational performance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, environmental performance, and operational excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, or professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.

• Over 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-tech industrial setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

• Experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and compliance strategies.

• Proven track record in conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence employees at all levels.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
