EHS Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Offer both tactical and strategic assistance for Avantor's operations in Czechia, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia.

• Collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to establish a Safe System of Work (SSoW) for activities related to environmental, health and safety, security, and sustainability.

• Foster a collaborative safety culture that encourages safety as a personal commitment.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the site Leadership Teams.

• Lead and advance topics in alignment with the EHSSS&S organization for the site.

• Execute incident investigations, supporting root cause analysis and barrier failure using ABS Group methodologies.

• Maintain and assess an up-to-date legal register tailored to the site operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant senior professional qualifications in sciences, occupational safety, or related fields (level 6 or equivalent).

• A pertinent environmental qualification.

• Training as a lead auditor for ISO 14001 and 45001.

• Extensive demonstrable experience within a global organization in a multi-geographic role.

• Language proficiency: fluent in Hungarian or Czech, and English (C1 level).
