This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

• Offer tactical and strategic assistance for Avantor operations in Czechia, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish a Safe System of Work (SSoW).

• Foster a collaborative safety culture that emphasizes safety as a personal value.

• Lead and develop initiatives in alignment with the EHSSS&S organization.

• Identify and address hazards related to Serious Incidents and Fatalities.

• Keep an up-to-date legal register tailored to site operations.

• Oversee incident investigations to support root cause analysis.

• Develop, audit, maintain, and coordinate local responsibilities concerning ISO 14001 & 45001 certification.

• Work with support functions on change management and process safety analysis.

• Assist and contribute to project activities as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EHSS&S.

• Relevant senior professional qualifications in sciences, occupational safety, or related fields (level 6 or equivalent).

• A pertinent environmental qualification.

• Lead auditor training in ISO 14001 and 45001.

• Extensive demonstrable experience in a global organization within a multi-geographic role.

• Language proficiency: fluent in Hungarian or Czech, and English (C1).

• Preferred qualifications include ATEX 137 and specialization in Ergonomics.
