
EEO Attorney, FAD Writer – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Prepare and draft final agency decisions (FADs), which is the primary responsibility of this role
• Assess Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for their legal adequacy
• Support the processing of both informal and formal EEO complaints
• Manage post-closure compliance and appeals work
• Create formal and intricate legal documents, including accept/dismissal letters, appeal documents, counselor’s reports, and memorandums regarding complaint status
• Execute legal research and perform editing tasks
• Analyze facts and relevant case law
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
• Must be licensed to practice in a US State or Territory
• At least three (3) years of experience writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level
• A minimum of three (3) years working on Federal sector civil rights issues and/or handling federal sector EEO complaints
• At least five (5) years of legal practice experience
• Capability to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen
• Familiarity with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
• Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
• Understanding of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act
• Awareness of the Equal Pay Act
• Knowledge of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act
• Familiarity with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974
• Outstanding writing skills
• Proficient in legal research and editing
• Ability to provide references and a writing sample during the interview process
• Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week
